WELCOME
Our Objective
The
objective
of
our
club
is
to
get
together
and
compete
in
various
motorsport
events,
these
include
Hillclimbs,
Rallies,
Street
Sprints,
Motorkhanas,
Autocrosses
and
other social events organised from time to time
All these events are timed and the winner of the event is the person with the lowest overall time or fastest time of the day.
Our
club
members
vary
greatly,
they
include
juniors
(12
-
17
yrs)
or
others
wishing
to
advance
their
driving
skills,
our
adult
members
include
those
who
drive
seriously
for
club
points
and
those
who
wish
to
go
out
and
let
loose.
Anyone
with
any
level
of
driving
skill
can
join
the
Northland
Car
Club.
Cars
that
enter
can
be
from
full
rally
spec
cars
to
the
old
family
saloon
that's
driven
everyday.

We
would
like
to
emphasize
that
Motorkhana
events
are
a
great
way
for
young
teenagers,
(from
the
age
of
12!)
to
start
advancing
their
driving
skills
in
a
controlled
environment.
Your
child
could
then
have
4
years
of
valuable
driving
skills
before
they
even
get
to
the
age
of
16,
with
the
driving
knowledge
they
will
get
from
competing
in
motorkhanas
this
would
help
their
confidence
immensely
before
getting
out
onto
the
road.
Competitors
can
go
at
their
own
speed
to
complete
the
selected
courses,
and
if
required
a
person
can
sit
beside
them
for
driver
tuition
only.
In
Motorkhanas
one
car
competes
at
a
time
against
the
clock,
on
either
grass,
gravel
or
tarseal
surfaces.
With
the
rising
concern
of
defensive
driving
within
the
younger age bracket this is a great way to learn car control skills, while having fun and meeting new people
